I have a 2017 G80 with a couple of recalls, so I scheduled maintenance and asked if they would update my maps/ navigation. I also have an oil warning light on. When I arrived, the service advisor (Logan) stated he did not have a data drive with updated maps because Genesis stopped sending out updates after five years, and the vehicle's computer was obsolete. The advisor said that he could update the maps for $225/HR plus the price of a thumb drive, or I could go home and attempt to do it myself. Again, the cost to diagnose the oil ...

Terrible car lot. Service department is rude and terribly disappointing. Sold me a car advertised with heated seats and when I called to tell them the heated seats do not work and it was not advertised correctly. I was told that since the heated seats are in the vehicle, it is advertised correctly. There was no guarantee they’d work. Terrible service and refusing to fix it.

Very very poor service. Had my GV70 in for a recall and regular maintenance. Used the valet service which is a big selling point when buying the car. Picked up my vehicle at 8:30am. At 3:30 I called checking on it. It was just going in for the recall. At 4:30 I called and they said it was done but did not have time to wash it. When I asked about the oil change he said they forgot to do it and can they reschedule. I rescheduled for today 7/29/24. Car was suppose to be picked up between 9:30 and 10:30am. I called at 11 ...
Purchased a Genesis GV70Sport 2.5 from Haley B in September 2023. Invested $69K in a car with no follow up on her part after the sale. She's all about selling you a car but does not follow through with any customer service issues after the sale. The general manger, Vince, is in the same category as well. Have owned BMW, Mercedes and Lexus prior to purchasing a Genesis. This experience with McDonald Automotive has been nothing but a BIG disappointment. We're really questioning our decision to do business with this dealership.

March 15 valet first service on new G80 Sport Prestige. Someone (never told who) hit my car on their lot. May 3rd, +6 weeks, and still don't have it back. Crappy communication, crappy service. Wanted me to deal with THEIR insurance too.
Terrible service department. Good luck getting your car serviced. They will ghost you. Go get an Audi or Lexus you'll save a lot of time and headache. No valet service available.
my purchase was great and after that horrible! I was sold that this would be a concierge service for 3 yrs. I am patient, I understand covid, but all that is over and I now not only cannot get a prompt reply, they will not even supply a shuttle for service! a $20 dollar one-time lyft credit is not a concierge service. I hate that I feel I have to fight for something that was sold to me. This is my third Genesis, I do like the car but won't do this again.

I love my 2021 GV80 but wish I had chosen a different dealership to purchase it from. Salesman, Brandon West, made the buying process pleasant but the service department is, to be kind, a tremendous disappointment. They refused to honor the valet service promised to me because the service radius was reduced from 50 to 15 miles AFTER I purchased the car and never informed me.
