2021 Genesis GV80 Miles per Gallon
We know that you might have additional questions about the Genesis GV80 and how it performs in terms of fuel economy. At Genesis of Littleton, we have written up this review going over the MPG of the GV80 as well as some additional options that we think add to the Genesis experience. We’re inviting our friends and neighbors in Parker, Littleton, and Castle Rock, CO, to read and enjoy this review.
What Are the 2021 Genesis GV80 Miles per Gallon?
The importance of finding the right SUV that offers an impressive fuel efficiency cannot be understated. With an EPA-estimated 21 city/25 highway/23 combined MPG on the base trim, and an EPA-estimated 18 city/23 highway/20 combined MPG on the highest trim, you’ll be able to run errands to the grocers or make a trip to the relatives a few towns over with minimal stops at the pump.1
The GV80 continues to have features that ensure that you don’t lose any of that precious MPG because of external factors. There is an available All Wheel Drive with electronic limited-slip differential that allows you to tackle all terrain while distributing drive power between wheels according to the driving environment and level of grip.
The Intelligent Drive Mode is another feature to save your mileage. It adjusts your transmission mapping, throttle responsiveness, suspension, and more to match your preferences and driving conditions, and every little factor counts when it comes to preserving high fuel economy. Not only this, but this feature allows you to choose from five driving modes: Comfort, Snow, Eco, Sport, and Custom.
A Strong Engine for Strong MPG Performance
It almost goes without saying that a strong engine equals a strong fuel economy. With the GV80, however, that is definitely the case.
The base mode is equipped with a 2.5L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with shift-by-wire and paddle shifters. It generates 300 horsepower on premium gasoline, while achieving 311 lb-ft torque.
However, if you are looking to upgrade for more power, the available 3.5L twin turbocharged V6 engine with the same transmission is an option to take. This engine generates 375 horsepower and achieves 391 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, you’ll shave off some MPG, but not to an egregious extent.
